Limited 20-Year Product Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage

Security Machine & Allspan Manufacturing (collectively referred to as “Security Machine”) warrants to the original purchaser that all products manufactured by Security Machine are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of twenty (20) years from the original date of purchase.

This limited warranty applies to, but is not limited to, the following products:

• Allspan Scissor Gates
• Astragals
• Window Security Bars
• Door and Window Security Hardware
• Other security or metal products manufactured by Security Machine

This warranty applies only to products manufactured by Security Machine and does not extend to third-party or non-manufactured components unless explicitly stated in writing.

2. What Security Machine Will Do

If a product is found, upon inspection by Security Machine, to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, Security Machine will, at its sole discretion:

• Repair the defective product
• Replace the defective product with a comparable product
• Provide a prorated credit toward replacement

This warranty covers the product only. Labor, removal, reinstallation, freight, shipping, or service costs are not covered unless explicitly agreed to in writing.

3. Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty does not apply to:

Exterior Installations

Any product installed on the exterior of a building, including but not limited to outdoor gates, bars, or hardware exposed to weather, moisture, salt air, industrial fallout, or other environmental conditions.

Abuse or Misuse

Damage caused by abuse, misuse, neglect, vandalism, impact, forced entry attempts, or improper operation.

Improper Installation or Modification

Damage resulting from:

• Improper installation
• Installation not in accordance with Security Machine recommendations
• Alteration, modification, welding, cutting, or field modification after manufacture

Normal Wear and Tear

Including but not limited to:

• Scratches
• Cosmetic blemishes
• Finish wear
• Paint or coating degradation

Corrosion or Environmental Damage

Including rust, oxidation, or deterioration caused by moisture, chemicals, salt, or harsh environments.

Acts of God

Including fire, flood, earthquake, windstorm, or other natural disasters.

Unauthorized Repairs

Any product repaired or serviced by anyone other than Security Machine or an authorized representative.

4. Warranty Limitations

• This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
• Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
• Security Machine reserves the right to inspect any product before approving a warranty claim.
• Repaired or replaced products do not extend or restart the original warranty period.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Security Machine shall not be liable for:

• Incidental, consequential, or indirect damages
• Loss of use
• Loss of profits
• Property damage
• Personal injury

Security Machine’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

6. No Other Warranties

This limited 20-year warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Security Machine. All other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed to the extent permitted by law.

7. Governing Law

This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
